My husband and I have just returned...what a wonderful place from another age...we hope that coming development will be respectful of the culture that makes Lo de Marcos what it is...and not destroy its charming other-worldliness...

Hey CheyAnne - Funny you should mention Pretty Sunset...that's where we stayed for about 2-3 months on and off. Yes Lo de Marcos is just dreamy isn't it. We were there this time last year but seems like an age away. We hit the road for a year around Canada, US and Mexico in a trailer. Always the youngest in the trailer parks :-) Nice to hear from a kindred spirit. Peace and pelicans.

this is awesome, incredible and wonderful. except for the baja thing this is what Len and I did. We stayed at Pretty Sunset RV in the little cabana above the showers, do you know it?
If you ever want to illustrate your story. I have the cowboys, the fishermen pushing out in the morning, and being surronded by pelicans, I have that beach two totally different trips, one headed south and one going home. Boy you described it perfectly even the early am gas man shouting his was on a megaphone as loud as he could, around 8 every morning wasn't it?
anyway thanks for the written words
peace n abundance

I was introduced to 'Lo D' by my parents who winter there. My first visit was February of this year. I fell in love with the entire region, but especially this wonderful little town and it's inhabitants. It reminds me of the small town I grew up in on the 'coast' of the Canadian prairies, with mountains on one side, and a sea (of wheat) on the other. Wonderful inhabitants. We'll be back again soon!

Thank you so much for mentioning La Casa de los Ninos! Four of us from Lo de Marcos founded "La Casa" for the children of our beautiful pueblo to receive help with homework, perform research on the internet, read books, do art projects or just visit with friends. It is a special place close to our hearts!
Founders,
Dave and Pati Martinez
